Toyah Browneyes
About the Artist
Toyah Browneyes is an enrolled citizen of the Cherokee Nation of Oklahoma. Born and raised in Tahlequah, OK, the capitol of Cherokee Nation, and graduated from Northeastern State University with a Bachelor of Science in 2010.
Beyond Tipis was launched in 2022 on facebook and if you would like to stay up to date with what the artist is working on you can follow on facebook or instagram. In 2024 she started designing her own fabrics and used some of those custom designs on her mini Wilma Mankiller Barbie tear dresses.
In March 2024 She was featured in the Cherokee Phoenix. to showcase her mini tear dress designs for the Wilma Mankiller Barbie.
Each handcrafted design is created with quality craftsmanship. Toyah has been beading, sewing and designing art most her life and takes pride in each piece.
Each handcrafted piece will come with a personalized and signed certificate of authenticity it is Native American made as defined by the Indian Arts and Crafts Act of 1990.
In 2023 she helped edit the book Native Americans Have Always Been In America: The Reverse Migration Therory and it is available on Amazon!
